By all available accounts (including their own,) Delta Airlines left Yefrosini Kramarenko, a 76 year old grandmother who suffered a stroke during the flight from Kiev to Denver — as luggage — at the baggage carousel in Denver! Her condition was poor, and continued to deteriorate. The woman died 3 weeks after arriving to the States, where her daughter and grandchildren now live.
That it happened at all is inexcusable. The airlines’ statement, “We are investigating this incident to ensure the type of service offered meets the level of customer service Delta strives to provide,” is equally inexcusable. The grandmother was found half sliding off of a wheelchair, foaming at the mouth, and having soiled herself. (more…)
