Throughout my life, I’ve been the adventurous one, the guy who goes off exploring places well off the beaten path, does things differently, even if — perhaps because — it’s the hard way. If I’m honest, at least part of the reason it that I just can’t stomach the notion of living life in mundane fashion. Along the way, I’ve pushed the envelope on the ocean, on motorcycles, airplanes, heading out solo on different trips and continents, sometimes without so much as funds to get back home. Looking out now at the mountains of Taos, where I’ve chosen to take a break from traveling, it seems I’m still pushing the envelope, and learning from it. (more…)
